From a family comprising artists and musicians, Paul performed on bass in various musical groups in the late 70's and 80's. In the late 80's he studied music and recording in the USA and in the early 90's played in a jazz quartet in Paris where he also composed production music. Returning to the UK in the mid 90's, Paul focused on academic work and also performed on bass in Afro/Jazz-dance band, Mambo Jambo.

During this time he also began  composing for commercial production music.
Paul now composes music for film, mulitmedia performance and electro-acoustic performance.

Current general interests include composing and performing experimental music and free jazz; critical theory, sociology and philosophy of music, technology and society, as well as pursuing ongoing film scoring projects and LCM website developments.
